Our Story of Compassion & Support

Where Love, Loss, and Legacy Begin

At Precious Wings, our story is rooted in lived experience, deep compassion, and a shared understanding of the overwhelming grief that follows the loss of a child. Founded in 2013 by Kerry Gordon after the stillbirth of her son Toby, Precious Wings began with a simple but powerful goal: to offer comfort and connection to families navigating unimaginable loss.

Why We Exist

We understand that losing a child—whether during pregnancy, infancy, or at any age—is one of the most devastating and isolating experiences a family can endure. Our work is built on the belief that no family should walk this journey alone.

What We Do

Through memory boxes, peer support, bereavement education, and community outreach, we help families create lasting memories and find meaning amidst their grief. Our programs also provide health professionals with the tools and confidence to offer compassionate, informed support.

Growing a Network of Support Across QLD and Northern NSW

What began as a small initiative supporting one hospital has grown into a statewide service supporting over 60 hospitals, hospices, funeral homes, and health services across Queensland and Northern NSW. Precious Wings continues to grow, driven by the families who have walked this path and now give back in honour of their children.
